CEMIVET

The EU project is a strategic partnership, co-funded by the EU program ERASMUS+. The six partner organizations intend to integrate new aspects and methods of the so-called Circular Economy into vocational training in the metal sector.

Project description

The EU will push the transformation of the economic system into a Circular Economy CE as a focus of its policy in the coming years. The project will support SMEs in metal clusters and their employees to better understand ongoing transformations (e.g. climate crisis), identify their impacts and take appropriate adaptation measures.

The project will identify CE opportunities, particularly with regard to metalworking, manufacturing, and other processes. In addition, VET teachers and learners will be involved in the project for the education and training of professionals. From these target groups, 200 participants are to be involved. Young people, especially young women are to learn about the reorientation of metalworking professions towards sustainability.
